2D CHARACTER DESIGNER

General Requirement:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or related fields
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar digital illustration tools
• Strong illustration skills with the ability to develop characters from rough sketch to final rendered artwork
• Familiarity with Pantone color guides and color accuracy principles
• Good understanding of character proportion, basic anatomy, and cartoon styles
• High attention to detail in shape consistency, proportions, color accuracy, and line quality
• Willing to collaborate and coordinate directly with the production team on-site when needed
• Good communication skills and the ability to work under deadlines
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in character design, illustration, or related creative fields

Key Responsibilities:

• Create original 2D character designs based on client briefs and project requirements
• Develop complete turnaround sheets (front, side, back) and expression sheets to support production
• Prepare actual-size 1:1 artwork for production needed
• Provide accurate Pantone color references, color mapping, and clean line art for production usage
• Produce production-ready artwork for embroidery, sublimation, sticker cut-print & pattern layout.
• Collaborate closely with the production, pattern, sculpting, and painting teams to ensure smooth translation from digital design to physical form
• Provide visual guidance, revisions, and detailed notes during mockup, fitting, sculpting, and painting phases
• Capture and upload progress photos, updates, and documentation to internal communication groups
• Ensure all final outputs-digital and physical-match the approved design in terms of color, shape, proportions, and character accuracy
